The Practice
Durham City Smiles dental practice is situated in the old St Margaret’s Hospital building, Crossgate, Durham. The practice has just benefited from a very extensive and sympathetic restoration to provide 3 state of the art dental surgeries, a very comfortable and relaxing waiting area, including a secluded outdoor decked area for use in good weather, and an instrument sterilisation room which is equipped to the highest of standards. We also have our technical colleagues from Opus Dental Laboratory on site just across our private decked courtyard, which means we have an extremely close working relationship, leading to even better results for our patients.
Graeme hours are:
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday – 09:00 to 18:00
- Wednesday – 09:00 to 19:00
- We are closed between 13:00 and 14:00 for lunch.
- Friday – 09:00 to 13:00
We now work Friday mornings. We can, and will arrange appointments on a weekend under special circumstances, by personal arrangement.
Stuart’s hours are:
- Tuesday and Thursday – 09:00 to 18:00
- Wednesdays – 09:00 to 19:00
- Friday – 09:00 to 13:00
Gren’s hours are:
- Monday – 09:00 to 18:00
Melanie our hygienist’s hours are:
- Wednesday – 09:00 to 19:00
- Thursday – 09:00 to 18:00

Our Complaints Procedure for patients
If you are not completely satisfied with your experience of our practice, please let us know in writing or by email at info@durhamcitysmiles.co.uk, and we will give an initial response within 3 working days, and then endeavour to resolve matters as soon as possible after that.
